What do I want this project to be?
I want people to know that their family or friends have not been forgotten. That if all conventional methods have been exhausted, there may be other ways to help.
I have never been personally involved from a relative-perspective with a missing person case.
In the months leading up to the building of this project, both Rachel and I read Noreen Renier’s “A Mind for Murder.” We looked at Ms. Renier’s techiques and figured how we could incorporate them into our investigations. I then emailed Ms. Renier and asked what I could do (as a law enforcement officer) to help Rachel and in turn, help the public. The conversation lasted approximately 10 minutes (I didn’t want to take up too much of her time!). I jotted down some ideas and came away from the conversation feeling like I had spoken to royalty!
I know we’re going to have some bumps in the road but I trust in the process and I trust in Rachel. She’s going to help people and I’m along to document it.
